Former Prime Minister's office head of campaigns Charley Green joins FleishmanHillard UK
After four years of growth for the UK Public Affairs practice, FleishmanHillard UK has hired former Cabinet Office head of campaigns, Charley Green, as an associate director.
This appointment will help support the next phase of development of our integrated approach to the discipline. Charley will become part of FleishmanHillard UK’s Public Affairs leadership team and will work across the business and with Omnicom sister agencies to support the delivery of public sector campaign briefs.
Charley joins FleishmanHillard after five years in the Government Communication Service, where her role spanned a wide range of communication disciplines and she specialised in campaigns, marketing, and press. She has worked across Whitehall to deliver a number of priority campaigns from the Cabinet Office, including the Prime Minister’s Skills for Life campaign and the Chancellor’s Plan for Jobs initiative. She also worked with 10 Downing Street to run digital campaigns for Black History Month and International Women’s Day.
Prior to the Cabinet Office, Charley worked on external affairs, media relations and strategic communication at the Department for International Trade, HMRC and the Ministry of Defence.
Tim Snowball, head of public affairs UK, said of Charley’s appointment: “Charley brings a fresh dimension to FleishmanHillard’s public affairs offering. Her expertise spans many government departments, communications disciplines, and subject areas, and I am certain that her advice and counsel will both take our communications approach to public affairs to another level and prove incredibly valuable to many of our clients”.
Charley Green adds: “I’m delighted to join FleishmanHillard’s award-winning public affairs practice as the business looks to its next phase of expansion. I’m very much looking forward to using my communications and cross-government experience to help FleishmanHillard’s public affairs and public sector clients make the kind of impact the agency has become known for”.
Earlier this year, FleishmanHillard UK was named PRWeek’s Best Agency for Public Affairs 2021 in recognition of the public affairs team’s culture and the impact the agency had made for its clients during the pandemic.
