We asked account executive, Tejas Chandarana about his experience working in the Brand Marketing team at FleishmanHillard UK, what he includes in his working from home ritual and his advice for others trying to get into the PR industry.
Hi Tejas! What has been your new work from home ritual?
Listening to podcasts on my daily walks.
What new skill have you flexed in lockdown?
Definitely getting back into regularly reading books but also becoming an avid TikTok and Clubhouse user. I must say, it takes serious skill to edit a TikTok video.
What shows have you been binging on lately?
I know I’m super late to this, but I’ve lately been obsessed with Parks & Recreation. Also, Ramy is an underrated but great binge!
What do you love about working at FH London?
The team – I’m lucky to work with such amazing people every single day.
What’s the most valuable skill used in your role?
I’d say building relationships whether that’s with influencers, journalists, clients, colleagues or talent agencies.
What’s your favourite part of your job?
I love keeping up to date on ‘What’s hot’ on Social, so I always enjoy working with influencers, creating social content and leveraging viral trends.
What’s your advice to someone wanting to get into the industry?
Have a clear idea of why you want to work in PR and be ready to demonstrate your passion.
What’s your go-to karaoke tune?
