The Digital Impact Awards champion and reward the campaigns truly making a difference to the communications world. Now in its seventh year, the record number of entries and high standard of submissions given over to the judging panel highlights the extent to which the digital communications industry continues to innovate.

Our Fitbit campaign, created together by our Creative Strategy and Brand Marketing teams helped make the most out of Fitbit’s donation to Sport Relief by challenging the nation in the ‘Big Billion Step-a-thon’. Collating all the steps taken by participants we set a lofty goal of five billion steps. By donating £1 for every 20,000 steps, Fitbit could donate a grand total of £250,000 if the target was met. We also recruited Tess Daly and Al Murray to go head-to-head to take the most steps in a week and raise an additional £100k for Sport Relief.

“The ‘Big Billion Step-a-thon’ galvanised the nation and got them #steppingforgood. Not only did we create a narrative that truly amplified Fitbit’s sponsorship for Sports Relief across multiple platforms, the story had real heart to it and caused action, ultimately allowing Fitbit users to give back to great causes.” said Lauren Winter, Brand Marketing Lead, EMEA.
