Fast-Growing Fintech Planet Appoints FleishmanHillard for European Media Engagement
The agency will focus on amplifying the tech provider’s market-leading integrated payments and software proposition to a European audience following a competitive pitch process
LONDON, June 6, 2023 – FleishmanHillard has been called upon by Planet, a global provider of integrated payment solutions and software to the hospitality and retail sectors, to handle its media relations across Europe on a retained basis. The account will be hubbed out of the UK and will cover FleishmanHillard in Germany and OPRG in France, Italy and Spain. The FleishmanHillard UK fintech team will lead the media engagement strategy, including an always-on press office function and content development.
Planet’s growth is accelerating globally, now operating in over 120 countries with nearly 3,000 employees worldwide, and recently combined its brands, Planet, Datatrans, Hoist, protel and Proximis, to provide integrated and connected customer-first payments and technology solutions. It is currently the only provider to embed payments into a Property Management Systems for hotels, while also allowing retailers to combine complex services, including inventory management and click and collect, to deliver a consistent online and in-person retail experience.
The FleishmanHillard team will lead media outreach to UK and pan-European retail, hospitality, fintech and payments press, to further position Planet as a leading provider of connected commerce solutions, also amplifying key customer announcements and business milestones. Teams across European markets will provide local insights and develop country specific messaging based on market trends and nuances.
FleishmanHillard’s TRUE Global Intelligence research and analytics practice will deliver integrated intelligence to provide Planet with market monitoring and insights across channels. Planet will also be able to tap into FleishmanHillard’s broader range of expertise, including its creative, strategy and planning experts, crisis counsellors and public affairs specialists.
